Amazing necklace composed of Italian coral beads, joined by trapezoidal sterling silver pieces, with two lapis lazuli cabochons in each of them. The closure is made on the back with a hook also made of silver. The name of the coral comes from the Greek "Kovra Halos" and means "Woman of the Sea." They are colonial invertebrate animals that belong to the cnidarian family. They are made up of hundreds or thousands of individuals called zooids and can reach large dimensions. Coral reefs are so fragile that they could disappear in the coming decades due to global warming and climate change. Corals have long been used to protect people from bad influences.
